smiles and selflessness

Baby Emma is smiling SO much these days! It's absolutely amazing how someone you've only known for 2 months can bring you so much joy! God is definitely showing me lately what it means to be selfless (when you have a baby I think it forces you to be selfless). I no longer have time to put all of my focus on myself....thank you Jesus! Yuck! I'm realizing how much selfishness leads to depression, loneliness, and ungodly thinking. My desire is to be focused on others needs....that it was truly brings us joy! To be concerned more about the needs of my family, friends, and even strangers than to be concerned about myself. God will take care of me when I seek first HIS kingdom! Help me Jesus to take my eyes off of myself!
